    Cool completely (consider freezing too, if just for the shot) before slicing with a very sharp knife (wipe between cutting) to avoid this messy look–the topping will drip more nicely that way too. As an alternative, a dollop of the topping might make for a better shot, even if that’s not how you usually serve it.
