What a fascinating site. Seems like you guys share my angst with the food porn pages. i cant tell you how much it annoys me that food blogging is made more about photography than the actual food.

Oh, and as for making spaghetti look great, it seems to be escaping me. I guess the noodles need to be arranged just so lol. Maybe the photographer needs to place each noodle on one by one, creating an eiffel tower or something. Then watch, tastepotting will say something like “unflattering composition”, goodness knows I’ve gotten that comment before!

I can’t believe that wasn’t accepted. It looks delicious!

Just an FYI, this image would have been (will be) accepted if submitted. The actual submitted image was underlit/underexposed compared to this one.

Casey, thank you so much for bringing all of this to my attention. It has been bothering me all night. Yes, while I fully admit it was not the originally submitted photo, I did resubmit the photo again for approval. I do not get email updates as to whether my photos are accepted or rejected (although I sure will now), so the last I knew when I logged on it said that my photo was rejected. I am assuming this was the case with the resubmitted photo, no? In fact, I usually copy and paste exactly the reason my photo was denied. If this was a misunderstanding on my part, I fully apologize to all involved. I, in no way have meant to do anything underhanded or misrepresenting in anyway. I have never posted photos that have been accepted at one place and rejected at another, nor have I tried to submit a photo that has been accepted at either place. I am sorry if it has anyway compromised the integrity of anyone. I would be more than happy and willing to submit the originally submitted photo if need be to clear this matter up or if you feel more comfortable removing this photo/link in general, there would be no hard feelings as well. As a newbie to the blogging world, I appreciate all of the food photo sites out there and the traffic that you provide to my blog. You provide a wonderful service to me and to fellow foodies and I in no way would want to jeopardize the service that you provide. Thank you for all that you do.

Thanks for your message, Stacy. TasteStopping has no doubt that your photo is legitimate. Perhaps the kind folks at FoodGawker didn’t realize that you had resubmitted the photo (and that they had rejected that one as well). Let us know how it goes if you resubmit! (And, seeing as FG suggested it, hopefully it’s a sure thing this time.

I’d say they both got it wrong. This is a great photo!
